SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (AP) _ Village Super Market Inc. (VLGEA) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $2.6 million.

The Springfield, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 18 cents per share.

The supermarket chain posted revenue of $481.1 million in the period.

Village Super Market shares have increased 10% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed slightly in the last 12 months.
