What inspired you to take over the Life in Calgary Instagram Account?
I feel lucky to be part of the vibrant culture scene in this city, and want to continue to celebrate and spread the word about all of the wonderful things that are happening here.
What do you do in your spare time? Favourite Calgary past-time or activity?
love outdoor activities – skating at Olympic Plaza in the winter is always fun, and in the summers I love to play basketball at the many outdoor courts in the city, or softball with my friends.
Where is your favourite place to eat or visit in Calgary?
That’s a tough one. There are so many amazing places in Calgary. I love visiting Monogram Coffee. I enjoy working on my laptop there when I’m in town. I also love Dairylane – I go there quite regularly, so I even know all of the staff there now!
What is a fun fact people wouldn’t know about you?
I’m a huge sports fan. It may seem unusual for a jazz artist, but sports have always been a big part of my life. Go Flames! And Raptors!
What do you think is the biggest surprise about Calgary for anyone who isn’t familiar with the city?
Even though it’s a large city, it still has that small town feel. You end up running into a lot of people you know. I love that!
How has the city influened who you are or your organization?
I wouldn’t be as successful as I am as an artist without Calgary’s support. I’m so grateful for all those that attend my concerts and share my music with others. It truly means the world.
