BROOKS, Alta – A man from Brooks is facing serious charges after police pulled him over for impaired driving over the long weekend.
At about 2 a.m. Monday, RCMP received reports of a car driving on the wrong side of the Trans Canada Highway and tracked it down.
When they pulled over the driver, officers spotted open liquor inside the car.
The driver refused to cooperate with police and was arrested, at which time officers discovered he was over the legal limit for alcohol.
The 45-year-old man has been charged with numerous offences relating to drunk driving and will be in court in July.
