EDMONTON — Alberta identified 263 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The newly reported case numbers come following the completion of just over 4,400 tests.

Active cases in the province continue to decline, with 7,646 active infections as of Monday afternoon.

Hospitalization numbers also saw another day of declining numbers, with 439 people currently in hospital, and 133 in the ICU.

There were eight additional deaths reported Monday.

Over the course of the last day, 20,232 vaccine doses were administered in Alberta. Nearly 63 per cent of all eligible Albertans have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
